PM Meets with Foreign Diplomats over South Ossetia
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania met with accredited foreign diplomats in Georgia on July 8 to inform them regarding the recent tensions in breakaway South Ossetia.
The Russian Ambassador to Georgia, Vladimir Chkhikvishvili, said after the meeting that Georgian State Minister Goga Khaindrava will leave for Moscow on July 9 to hold talks with Russian officials over South Ossetia.
He also said that the issue will be discussed during planned phone talks that will occur between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently visiting Iran.
