Saakashvili Visits Israel

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will leave on July 27 for Israel for a four-day official visit.

During the visit Saakashvili will hold meetings with his Israeli counterpart Moshe Katsav, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other officials.

It is anticipated that, among other issues, President Saakashvili will discuss the incident over the defacing of the Georgian fresco in the Monastery of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, which is under the control of the Greek Orthodox Church.
