Georgian, Israeli Presidents Hold Talks

Visiting Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said after talks with his Israeli counterpart Moshe Katsav on July 27 that Georgia will grant dual Georgian citizenship to those Israelis who emigrated from Georgia after the fall of the Soviet Union.


Moshe Katsav said at a joint news briefing after his talks with the Georgian President that Israel is closely watching the developments in Georgia. He also said that Israel is interested in boosting economic cooperation with Georgia.


President Saakashvili will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon later on July 28.
