Ukraine’s Chief of the Armed Forces Visits Georgia
Chief of the General Staff and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Viktor Muzhenko is paying an official visit to Georgia.
He met Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Vakhtang Kapanadze in Tbilisi on October 20.
“The visit of the commander of army of our brotherly and partner country is of course very important. Of course we have cooperation plans – technical, education, joint participation in [military] exercises. Ukraine is ready to share its experience and we are also ready to do the same, which actually is already ongoing,” Maj. Gen. Kapanadze said.
“This cooperation with our Ukrainian partners is very dynamic and intensive,” he added.
Ukraine’s chief of army Gen. Muzhenko will visit Rehabilitation Center for Wounded Military Service Members in Tserovani, where several Ukrainian soldiers are undergoing rehabilitation course. Seven Ukrainian soldiers underwent two-week rehabilitation course in September in the center. Currently the second group of Ukrainian soldiers are undergoing rehabilitation course in the center.
Ukrainian Air Force Commander, Major General Serhii Drozdov, visited Georgia in August.
