Geostat: GDP Growth 1.5% in September
Georgia’s real GDP grew 1.5% in September, making third quarter growth 2.2%, according to preliminary data released by the state statistics office on Monday.
Economy grew 2.6% in the first nine months of this year, according to Geostat. Annual GDP growth in the same period of last year stood at 2.7%.
Government’s forecast for 2016 economic growth stands at 3%. But it projects 4% economic growth next year.
Georgia’s economy expanded by 2.8% in 2015, the weakest growth since 2009.
