“Citizen’s Union” Faction Has a New Chairman

Merab Tkeshelashvili is a new Chairman of Parliamentary faction “Citizens Union”. During the “Citizens’ Union” session on October 15, faction approved Revaz Adamia’s resignation from the post of Chairman of the “Citizen’s Union”.

The posts of Deputy Chairman and Secretary of the faction are still vacant. Appointments to these positions would be done during the next week.

Disintegration processes in the “Citizen’s Union of Georgia” party started after President Shevardnadze announced about his resignation from the post of the Chairman of the ruling party. Only 49 MPs remain in the faction out of initial 120.
