Georgia Protests Against Russia’s Cooperation With Breakaway Abkhazia
(Tbilisi, February 6, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a protest note to the Russian Federation for economic cooperation with unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia.
Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Kakha Sikharulidze stated on February 6, that Russian Ministry for Atomic Energy and administration of Krasnodar region, [South Russian region bordering with breakaway Abkhazia] intend to rent and purchase several recreation centers in Abkhazia.
This is against the decision of heads of Commonwealth of Independent States prohibiting economic cooperation with the unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia, Sikharulidze stated.
