President Welcomes Ex-Interior Minister’s NGO

President Shevardnadze welcomed creation of non-government organization by former Interior Minister Kakha Targamadze and former General Prosecutor Gia Meparishvili.

Former officials of the law enforcement agencies, sacked in the wave of the mass protests last November, established Centre for Legal Reforms in April.

“Every one has a right to create NGO. Both of them [Targamadze, Meparishvili] are good professionals,” President Shevardnadze said at the briefing on April 8.
