Shevardnadze Believes Russia not to Interfere in Georgia’s Affairs

(Tbilisi, May 28, Civil Georgia) – After the meeting of the Russian and US Presidents it is most likely that Russia will not interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs, Georgian President Shevardnadze stated in the live broadcast at the State TV Channel on May 27.

Eduard Shevardnadze said that after this meeting Georgian security is guaranteed like never before.

“Together [with Russia], we will work to improve security in Georgia”, US President George W. Bush stated during remarks with Russian President Putin at signing of Joint Declaration on May 24 in Moscow.
