Georgian PM Hails Ukrainian Visit as ‘Fruitful’

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, while commenting on his recent official visit to the Ukraine, said his talks with top Ukrainian officials were rather fruitful.

The issues of bilateral cooperation within the frames of GUUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova), as well as further cooperation in the energy sector, were discussed during the visit. Ukraine expressed its readiness to deliver extra electricity to Georgia.   

Zurab Zhvania held meetings with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych and other officials.

The Georgian Prime Minister also attended a bilateral, inter-governmental economic session in Ukraine.
