Georgia Demands from Russia Training Ground’s Handover

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on August 26 that Russia should hand over training ground in Gonio, Adjara Autonomous Republic, to the Georgian side. That facility is currently used by the Russian military base deployed in the Adjarian capital Batumi.

?By the next spring Gonio training ground should be handed over to Georgia, or we will make them [Russians] leave? Mikheil Saakashvili said at the government session on August 26, which was held in Batumi.
