Geostat: GDP Growth 5.1% in January
Georgia’s real GDP grew by 5.1% year-on-year in January, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Office (Geostat) on February 28.
According to the report, real growth was registered in the following sectors: transport and storage; construction; real estate; accommodation and food service; wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; information and communication; electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; manufacturing.
A decrease was reported in mining and quarrying.
The average annual growth of real GDP stood at 5.2% in 2019.
