Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia called upon Georgian government for drastic measures to dissolve Chechen-Georgian joint military units in Abkhazia. “Government of Georgia must disarm these terrorist and extradite them to Russia”, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia announced today.
Georgia denies information about presence of Chechen and Georgian guerrillas in Kodori gorge – the only part of breakaway self-declared Republic of Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government. Official Tbilisi is not responsible for the situation in the territory, which is not under Georgian control, Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
