(Tbilisi, November 12, Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze started consultations with the leaders of the Parliament regarding composition of the new government.
In his radio interview, President refrained from naming possible members of the new government, however he has mentioned that the new cabinet would be completely ‘refreshed’.
Shevardnadze announced that number of ministries would be reduced to 15 from current 18. Ministry of Tax Revenues will be split into two departments – Tax and Customs and would be under the management of the State Minister, which means that the departments will be functioning separately from the Finance Ministry, as it was expected.
