(Tbilisi. November 24. Civil Georgia) – Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze meets her Armenian, Azerbaijanian and Russian counterparts in St.-Petersburg in the frames of the CIS Parliamentary assembly. This is the first meeting of this kind and the agendas of further meetings and cooperation will be discussed.
In her speech at the Parliamentary assembly Nino Burjanadze intends to raise an issue of withdrawal of Russian peacekeeping forces from the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.
According to the resolution passed by the Georgian Parliament on October 12, further presence of the Russian peacekeepers in Abkhazia is regarded as inappropriate.
