(Tbilisi. December 5. Civil Georgia) – Reformers’ team members will form a new Parliamentary faction next week, MP Vasil Maglperidze stated in the interview to the Civil Georgia‘s correspondent today.
Other sources reported that the faction would be formed in January 2002, when MP Mikheil Saakashvili’s new National Movement party will be officially created.
It is anticipated that MP Mikheil Saakashvili will be the chairman of the faction. Kote Kemularia, Koba Davitashvili, Petre Tsiskarishvili and other reformers’ team members along with the several MPs from the Citizens’ Union will join the faction.
Maglaperidze states that ex-Parliamentary Chairman Zurab Zhvania will not be the member of the faction, although he intends to cooperate with a new group.
The faction will be opposition of the pro-Presidential groups in the Parliament.
