Georgia Demands to Hasten Investigation of Bombardment

(Tbilisi. December 14. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Foreign Affairs Ministry calls Russian authorities for forming joint commission to investigate bombing of Georgian territory on November 27. Georgian and Russian Presidents decided to create the commission on November 30.

Georgia blames Russia in bombardment of Pankisi gorge, northern Georgia. Moscow denies accusation.

Although Russian President Putin agreed to form a joint commission he expressed doubt concerning the effectiveness of such a commission because Pankisi gorge controlled by the Chechen guerrillas is no-go area for the Georgian authorities, Vladimer Putin stated on November 30.
