UN Secretary General is not Completely Precise – Shevardnadze Says

(Tbilisi, January 25, Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze stated on January 25 that UN Secretary General “was not completely precise” in his report on the situation in Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.

UN Secretary General notes in the report that the tensions remain high with the continuing presence of Georgian troops in the upper Kodori gorge.

While commenting the UN Secretary General’s latest report to the Security Council President Shevardnadze stated that the terms of the document are not obligatory for Georgia. “We will not pull out our troops from Kodori,” President stated.
