(Tbilisi, February 14, Civil Georgia) – Representatives of Russian Emergency, Interior and Foreign Affairs Ministries met Georgian Interior and Refugees and Settlement Ministers on February 14.
Russian delegation started two-day visit to Georgia today and will work over the repatriation of Chechen refugees living in Pankisi gorge, northeastern Georgia.
Yuri Brazhnikov, head of the Russian delegation and Emergency deputy minister stated on February 14, that the delegation will work over the plan of refugees’ repatriation together with the Georgian officials.
Yuri Brazhnikov cannot specify the exact dates in which the refugees should return to their homes.
Russian delegation does not intend to visit Pankisi gorge, where approximately more then 7,000 refugees from Chechnya live.
