(Tbilisi, February 27, Civil Georgia) – Delegation of US Department of Defense arrived in Georgia on February 27, Georgian Defense Ministry reports.
Delegation will hold meeting with the Georgian Defense high officials today and discuss training program for the Georgian Defense Ministry’s units.
Georgian Deputy Defense Minster Gela Bezhuashvili stated earlier that USA will provide equipment and assist Georgia to train antiterrorist unit.
The Washington Post reports on February 27, that “The move to train and equip the Georgian military opens a new front in the Bush administration’s war on terrorism.”
