Georgian Defense Minister Denies Reports on US Troops Dispatching to Georgia

(Tbilisi, February 27, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze Stated on February 27 at the news briefing in St. Petersburg that he has no information concerning the reports on US intention to send Special Forces to Georgia.

U.S. Special Forces will be deployed to the former Soviet republic of Georgia later this week to open the newest front in the war on terrorism, US media sources reported on February 27.

Russian Defense Minister also stated at the news briefing in St. Petersburg that he has no information concerning the report.

Meeting of Defense Ministers of Commonwealth of Independent States is held in St. Petersburg.
