(Tbilisi, March 1, Civil Georgia) – US military instructors will arrive in Georgia in late March, Georgian Defense Ministry reports on March 1.
Davit Tevzadze, Georgian Defense Minister stated on February 28 that US instructors will train two-three units of Defense Ministry in antiterrorist operations during the couple of months.
In mid-March US military advisors are also to arrive in Georgia. Team of US military experts, together with their Georgia counterparts, works over reforming the Georgian armed forces.
US military assistance to Georgia “would ultimately help the war on global terrorism,” Pentagon spokeswoman Torie Clarke stated at the news briefing on February 27.
