(Tbilisi, March 1, Civil Georgia) – “There is nothing strange that the USA assists Georgian armed forces. No other country can provide Georgia such assistance,” Georgian President Shevardnadze stated on March 1 after the CIS informal summit in Kazakhstan.
Eduard Shevardnadze stated that the United States has already supported Georgia to form border guard service.
“There is no tragedy that Georgia cooperates with the United States to combat international terrorism,” Russian President Vladimer Putin after the summit, commenting US-Georgian military cooperation.
Russian President is to meet his Georgian counterpart Eduard Shevardnadze in Kazakhstan at the informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States on March 1.
