NATO Experts Visit Georgia

(Tbilisi, March 21, Civil Georgia) – Delegation of the Headquarters for the Joint Command Southeast, NATO visits Georgia on March 21-25.

The NATO delagation will discuss the issues of military exercises within the frames of Partnership for Peace (PfP) program Cooperative Best Effort – 2002.

The military exercise will be held at the Vaziani military base, near Tbilisi in June 2002.

Georgian Defence Ministry reports, that six NATO members (Hungary, Canada, Greece, USA, Turkey and Great Britain) and 10 NATO partner states (Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine and Uzbekistan) will take part in the exercise.

Participants will exercise in the carrying out military operations in the mountainous regions.  

This will be the third military exercise held in Georgia within the frames of PfP program.
