(Tbilisi, May 20, Civil Georgia) – Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Jumber Lominadze told a BBC reporter that the CEC is on a full mode ten days before locals. Commission staff will actually work during 24 hours a day.
According to Lominadze, Parliament of Georgia has recently made 80 pages long substantial changes in the law on elections consisting of . The fact indicates that the legislation is not perfect and requires further elaboration.
Scarce resources creates additional problems, though, CEC would do its best to make locals possible, says Lominadze. The local self governance elections will be held of June 2.
