De Facto Abkhaz Authorities Hold Consultations in Moscow

(Tbilisi, May 27, Civil Georgia) – Representatives of the breakaway Abkhazia and Russian Foreign Ministry hold consultations in Moscow on May 27.

Russian media sources report quoting press service of the representation of unrecognized Abkhazian Republic in Moscow that de facto Prime-Minister Anri Jergenia and Foreign Minister Sergei Shamba will hold talks with Russia President’s envoy for the Abkhazian conflict settlement Valeri Loshchinin.

Situation in Georgian controlled Kodori gorge in Abkhazia will be in the top of the agenda during the consultations. Abkhazian side claims Georgia still keeps military presence in the troubled gorge.

Valeri Loshchinin visited Georgia on May 23-24 and hold talks with the Georgian side concerning the situation in breakaway Abkhazia and the issue of Russian peacekeepers’ mandate.
