(Tbilisi, June 4, Civil Georgia) – General Joseph W. Ralston, the Commander-in-Chief, US European Command who pays tow-day visit to Georgia visited National Military Academy on June 4, where the US military instructors train the Georgian officers.
General Ralston stated that his visit’s main goal is to observe the implementation of the Georgia Train-and-Equip program (GTEP).
“I met US military trainers and they are very pleased with the preparation of the Georgian officers and the implementation of the program,” General Ralston told the reporters today.
In the morning Commander-in-Chief of the US European Command met President Shevardnadze and the Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze this morning. General Ralston stated that the President and the Minister are also very pleased with the GTEP implementation.
