Shevardnadze Demands from Law Enforcers to Find and Free Shaw

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 12, 2002) – At the meeting of the National Security Council on July 12 Georgian President categorically demanded from the Interior and State Security Ministers to activate investigation of Peter Shaw, who was kidnapped on June 18.

This is not the first case when the President criticizes and categorically demands from the law enforcers to find and release the British citizen. The law enforcer high officials constantly claim that the investigation is almost completed and Peter Shaw will be released soon.

Co-director of the Agro-Business Bank of Georgia was kidnapped by the seven gunmen in the police uniforms.
