Russia Welcomes Extradition of Terrorist Suspect

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 17, 2002) – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov stated that the extradition of the terrorist suspect is a “right step made by the Georgian government.”

“We only welcome Georgia’s decision to extradite a person suspected in terrorist attacks in Russia. This is in Georgia’s interest,” Russian media sources report on July 17, quoting Sergei Ivanov.

Adam Dekushev, was arrested by the Georgian law enforcers in western Georgia. He is suspected in terrorist attacks in Moscow and Volgadonsk.
