(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 18, 2002) – National Military Academy of Georgia transforms into NATO standards with Turkish assistance.
On July 18 the Academy presented new training program, which is compatible with the NATO standards.
The Turkish government granted the Academy USD 1,5 million in 2002 and will continue financial assistance for the next four years as well.
“The new training program is one of the most advanced in the world and it is very important to implement this program in our Academy,” Gen.-Lieutenant Omar Lekveishvili, Head of the Military Academy stated today.
