(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 29, 2002) – Computer-based Command and Control military exercises Eternity – 2002 are held at Vaziani military base, near Tbilisi on July 29-Agust 5.
Officers from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey participate in the exercise, which is held in the frames of the NATO Partnership for Peace program.
The exercises aim at improving troops’ activity to provide humanitarian aid during the peacekeeping operations.
According to the scenario the computer program will simulate damage of the oil pipeline and the servicemen would provide humanitarian aid for the population and the protection of the strategic pipeline.
