(Tbilisi, November 22, Civil Georgia) – Today Georgian President Shevardnadze delivers speech at the NATO summit in Prague.
“I will officially announce tomorrow [on November 22] Georgia’s will is to access NATO,” President Shevardnadze said on November 21, while visiting the Radio Free Europ/Redio Liberty head office in Prague.
“We realize that one or two years for Georgia’s accession into NATO will not be enough,” Shevardnadze said, He added that for NATO membership Georgia should overcome many problems and restore territorial integrity.
