One Unit of Russian Troops Moves from Georgia to Armenia

(Tbilisi, December 20, 2002. Civil Georgia) – One unite of Russian signal battalion left Georgia today, which was dispatched to the Russian military base in Giumri, Armenia.

The removal of the unite was agreed at the meeting of the Georgian and Russian experts in Tbilisi on December 11.

During the visit in Georgia on December 16 Azerbaijani Defense Minister expressed protest regarding the removal of the Russian arms and units from Georgia to Armenia.
