(Tbilisi, January 4, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Finance Minister Mirian Gogiashvili stated on January 3 that the budget of December has been fulfilled, while the Adjarian Autonomous Republic still refused to transfer tax in the central budget.
Georgian State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze visited Batumi, Autonomous Republic’s capital on December 24 and held talks with the Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze on budgetary problems.
During the negotiations Abashidze and Jorbenadze agreed to form a governmental commission, which will work on the issue.
