(Tbilisi February 7, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Any acts that involve foreign citizens acquiring immovable property in Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia will be declared as illegal, Georgian Minister of State Property Management stated at the government’s meeting on February 6.
“This should happen after the restoration of Georgia’s territorial integrity,” Minister Solomon Pavlishvili said.
Georgia has protested for many times against the acquisition of the immovable property in Abkhazia by the Russian companies and citizens.
