(Tbilisi. February 26, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Bruce Jackson, the President of the US Committee for NATO holds talks with Georgian President Shevardnadze on February 26.
On February 25 Bruce Jackson met Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze. After the meeting Bruce Jackson said that Georgia has already started reforms needed for NATO accession, but there is still much to be done.
Last November Georgian President Shevardnadze made an official bid for NATO accession at the NATO summit in Prague.
The US Committee on NATO is a non-profit corporation formed in 1996 to promote the expansion of NATO and the strengthening of ties between the United States and Europe.
