(Tbilisi. March 11, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Residents of Zugdidi district in western Georgia hold a protest rally demanding electricity supply.
MPs at the Parliamentary session today expressed concern regarding the energy crisis in Georgian regions.
“Along with other social problems the electricity crises worsens grave social conditions of the population of the Georgian regions,” MP from Dusheti constituency Marina Molodin said at the Parliamentary session.
Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze requested the Parliamentary commission on energy crisis to study the reasons of electricity shortage and inform the Parliament on March 13.
