(Tbilisi. March 21, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Ministry official said today that the possible use of chemical weapon by the Iraqi regime poses no direct threat for Georgia.
“Iraq has no missile to carry chemical or biological warheads in Georgia,” Chief of the Chemical Weapons Department at the Georgian Defense Ministry Tamaz Jamatashvili said at the news briefing today.
Defense official reiterated Georgia’s support to the United States and said Georgia is ready to provide assistance to the US.
