(Tbilisi. March 28, 2003. Civil Georgia) – UN Secretary General?s former representative in Georgia Dieter Boden told the reporters today that there is no progress in carrying out reforms in Georgia.
Dieter Boden is in the delegation of 24 ambassadors of the OSCE member states accredited to the organization, which pays fact-finding visit to Georgia on March 27-29.
?It is nice to be back in Georgia, but I am disappointed that there is no progress in the country,? Dieter Boden told the reporters after the delegation held meeting with the Georgian Public Defender today.
The OSCE delegation also met Georgian Special Affairs Minister Malkhaz Kakabadze and Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze to discuss situation in breakaway Abkhazia.
Meeting with President Shevardnadze is scheduled for late today.
