(Tbilisi, May 28 2003, Civil Georgia) Georgia is ready to dispatch a 74-member group of officers, soldiers, military doctors and engineers, to Iraq, Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili told Civil Georgia on May 28.
He said President Shevardnadze is to make a decision in this regard at the request of the US Administration.
The parliament should review the presidential decision and provide its approval. Bezhuashvili says this process will be “protracted.”
