(Tbilisi, May 28 2003, Civil Georgia) The interim parliamentary commission on Abkhazia-related issues today launched a conference on the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict resolution at the Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel in Tbilisi. The conference was held with the support of the British Reconciliation Resources public organization and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
The Abkhaz delegation should have attended the conference, however it did not arrive by unknown reasons. Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Vakhtang Kolbaia and the experts said such approach would hamper the conflict settlement.
