(Tbilisi, August 7, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Leader of the United Democrats party Zurab Zhvania called the opposition parties once again for unification.
“The only way to resist this government and President is unification,” Zurab Zhvania said at the news briefing on August 6.
He said Shevardnadze finally “turned back from democracy and from the western policy course.”
Opposition’s previous attempts for unification have failed so far. Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze, which will present her election program on August 8, also calls the opposition parties to form an alliance.
