(Tbilisi, August 26, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze attended today large scale navel exercises Imedi (Hope) – 2003 near Poti, a town on Georgia’s Black Sea coast.
Up to 1,100 soldiers including marines and officers of the Georgian coast guard service participated in the exercises.
Tbilisi-based tycoon Badri Patarkatsishvili, wanted by Russia, attended the navy exercises together with the Defense Minister.
