Russian Plane Violates Georgia’s Air Space

(Tbilisi, August 29, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The State Border Guard Department reported today, that a Russian SU-25 Frogfoot plane violated Georgia’s air space at 12:00 a.m. on August 29.

According to the Border Guard Department, the Russian jet left the Georgian air space in ten minutes.

Two military aircrafts intruded into Georgian airspace over Kodori gorge, which is the only territory in breakaway Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian authorities, on 27 February 2003.
