Opposition Informed McCain Over Ballot Fraud

U.S. Senator John McCain said today that the opposition parties are concerned over the anticipated ballot fraud during the November 2 parliamentary elections.

“The representatives of the opposition parties express concern over the inaccurate voters’ lists. They say, the lists have artificially been increased by 600 thousand voters, that create ground for ballot fraud,” McCain told reporters on October 6.

The US Senator promised to raise this issue during the meeting with Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Nana Devdariani, scheduled for today.

U.S. Senator arrived in Tbilisi on October 5 to assess pre-election situation in the country. He said that the November 2 parliamentary elections are of crucial importance for Georgia.
