Defense Minister Visits U.S.

Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze left for the United States on a seven-day official visit on October 14.


During the visit the Defense Minister will hold meetings with high-rank officials of the U.S. Armed Forced.


The sides will discuss the issues of prolongation of the US-funded Train and Equip Program, which expires in May 2004, implementation of reforms in the Defense Ministry of Georgia and prospects of compliance of Georgia?s Armed Forces with the NATO standards.
