Chief of the security service of the unrecognized Abkhaz Republic Givi Agrba said on October 14 that the Georgian troops, trained within the US-funded Train-and-Equip program are engaged in ?sabotage? against the Abkhaz officials.
Georgian side denies accusations. President Shevardnadze has numerously stated that the US-trained Georgian troops will not be deployed in Abkhazia.
Abkhaz de facto official?s accusation follows Georgian side?s allegations that the Chechen militants, who fled Pankisi gorge year after the anti-crime operation, are hiding in Abkhazia.
According to the Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress Givi Agrba dismissed accusations as groundless.
