Leader of the New Rights party Davit Gamkrelidze accused on October 20 the government of attempts to rig the votes of those Georgian citizens living in the foreign countries.
He claimed the authorities appointed employees of the Georgian embassies and consulates as members of the polling stations in the foreign countries.
Gamkrelidze said at a news briefing that the authorities violated election code, since the state officials have no right to become members of the election commissions. He said that the authorities intend to rig the voters of the Georgian expatriates with the assistance of the Georgian embassies.
Earlier the National Movement opposition party also accused the authorities of trying to rig the votes of the Georgian citizens living abroad.
