US Ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles held on October 27 meetings with leaders of opposition New Rights and Labor parties to discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The problems regarding the voter lists were on the top of the agenda during the talks with Davit Gamkrelidze of the New Rights and Shalva Natelashvili of the Labor Party.
“We agreed to contact the Ambassador constantly and brief him on any violations in the pre-election process,” Davit Gamkrelidze of the New Rights said on October 27.
“I hope the upcoming parliamentary election will be more transparent and democratic compared to the previous one,” US Ambassador Richard Miles stated.
