Two Injured in Blast at Opposition Party’s Office

Two people were injured as a result of explosion in the office of the New Rights opposition party in Akhaltsikhe, south-eastern Georgia, in the evening on November 1.


“The both of them are badly wounded. They are hospitalized in the local hospital,” Manana Nachkepia, representative of the New Rights Akhaltsikhe office told Civil Georgia.

The local police launched investigation of the incident.

On October 30 Zviad Chokheli of the New Rights party, who runs for MP in the Nadzaladevi district single-mandate constituency of Tbilisi was attacked on October 29 by unknown persons. He was fired at twice but survived as he was wearing the armored jacket.
